The Lost Envelope...

March 8th,2025

Yesterday was a hell of a day.

I received a letter from an official place. the letter said that I might have some important documents inside. But it was sent to my previous address ( from another state) and sent to the one I am now.... but to the wrong address...( although I changed to the new one in December 2024).

From CA to AZ that envelope had a piece of interesting information to say.  I went to the post office..oh no we can't help you because it's not our zip code..
Suggestion: You have to go to the proper Post Office. ( Oh no....!!)

It was raining, there were black clouds all over. I drove to the "correct post office"  along with heavy traffic and the rain....and explained to the post office clerk what I was going after... to recover an envelope that was being delivered to the wrong person with important governmental info for me.

The post office clerk was smart enough to pick up her phone and she called the carrier that was doing the delivery...they arranged for him to wait for me...tears were rolling down my face...she said..." She's emotional" and hang up the phone smiling to me...

Oh yeah, I was, emotionally upset, curious, and desperate. I had chest pain as my body was reacting to the stress. She said "he would be waiting for you at the corner of " so and so..." it took me like 20 minutes to get there. I got into the property looking for the postman/truck..nothing was there...as I was driving around the block I saw one  of the trucks on one of the streets,

I stopped the car and ran to the guy like a crazy person asking " Are you the one that has a letter for me?

He said no....? I explained the situation and he said no..is the other carrier, it's a van...it might be on the other street...

I ran back to my car and drove, it around the block, and there he was..The kindest postman waiting....he asked for my ID..of course, and smiling he gave me my envelope...as I was opening it to see what it was...I started to think how lucky I was to find angels along the way...

The information was important as the letter was about an unclaimed refund from another state. I am not going to buy a home with it, but I am certainly buying a birthday cake for myself next week.

This birthday celebration will be important...( all are ) but recognizing the miracles in my life and on my end..forever grateful to the kind postman and the efficiency of the postal clerk.
Many Blessings to both and Happy Birthday to me...

PD: I got home safe and seriously took me a little bit to recover...phew...
